The day after the election, the market plunged by more than 300 points causing people to loose more than 2% of their market wealth in a single day.   Apparently, the market had anticipated different results.

Pros:  Looks like 4 more years of easy material for political satire/parodies.

Cons:  Just about everything else.

Part of Romney's Tax Plan: Eliminate taxes for taxpayers with AGI below $200,000 on interest, dividends, and capital gains.

This is huge.

(a) It's fair b/c it targets low and middle class only.
(b) It encourages people to save and invest in stocks, bonds, and savings accounts, which helps the low and middle class build wealth, supplemental income, a personal saftey net, and helps save for college, retirement, or anything really.
(c) Additionally, the capital flowing into stocks, banks, bonds etc.. will grease the wheel of the economy allowing businesses to start, expand, get loans easier, etc...
(d) As those businesses start and expand they will generate more income subject to income taxes (Growing the Base) which will reduce the deficit.
(e) In order for those businesses to start and expand they will need to hire people (+jobs) (also Grows the Base)

It is like a bacteriaphage, only instead it is an entitlement which will eventually kill off other entitlements by actually encouranging people to save/invest to build wealth and income produced from capital, which will lift them out of poverty, up through the income classes, and eventually they will have too much income/wealth to qualify for the other less-desirable entitlements.

This is huge.

Paul Ryan

1 min read
Awaiting Romney's Annoucement that he has picked Paul Ryan to run as his VP.

Seems like a solid choice.  Let the main-stream Media Vultures and Progressive-Democrats begin the picking apart of the symbol of Fiscal Responsibility.

That said, will Obama throw Biden (worthless IMO) under the bus for a VP with more jazz, like Hillary Clinton to energize his base, or will Obama's Ego deny such a bold move?

I think it comes down to Rubio, Ryan, or Rice.

Considering everything, I think Rice would be Romney's best VP appointment because she brings experience as former Secretary of State, and she has already been veted so to speak.  Not to forget the double minority diversity she brings to the ticket.

I can see it now: Rice-a-Romney: The Presidential Treat.
